Tacos at home

fish tacos
()

‘Mexico’! What is the first thing that popped in your mind? All I could get in my mind was Mexican food and to be precise, tacos. A fat man with big moustache and glasses on with biggg hat on his head selling tacos at a Mexican restaurant is what pops in my head. If you are also getting the same thoughts then you need to make those tacos at home! Hardshell, softshell, fish, beef, pork, whichever – the taco is indelibly embedded into our psyches as ‘authentic Mexican food’.

tempura batter
  • Take a bowl, sift the flour once or twice to remove any clumps.
  • In a separate medium bowl, gently beat egg until the yolk and egg whites are just barely incorporated.
  • Combine the water and ice cubes in a cup. Using a strainer, strain the water and add it to the bowl with the beaten egg. *Make sure you do not actually add ice cubes to the tempura batter.*
